a $13 million dollar verdict on behalf of his clients against R.J. Reynolds
Tobacco Company, the second largest cigarette manufacturer in the United
States. In this wrongful death case, the jury awarded $3 million to the
surviving children of a Miami woman who died as a result her addiction
to cigarettes. The jury also found punitive damages were warranted against
R.J. Reynolds and awarded an additional $10 million to punish the tobacco
company for its misconduct.
Eric began his legal career at the Office of the State Attorney in Broward
County, Florida. During his tenure as an
Assistant State Attorney, Eric tried more than 20 criminal jury trials and countless bench trials.
Eric eventually left public service to pursue his interest in helping
individuals who have been injured due to the carelessness of others.
