José Javier Rodríguez is a South Florida trial attorney at

After earning a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2006, José Javier
turned down lucrative job offers elsewhere and returned home to Miami
to begin his legal career with Florida Legal Services. José Javier

low-wage workers, tenants, homeowner associations, individuals enforcing
their civil rights, small business owners and neighborhood-based organizations.

Until 2010, José also served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor with
the Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic at Florida International
University's College of Law. Prior to attending law school, José
served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal from 2000 to 2003, first
as a business advising volunteer and then as an advisor to Senegal's
Ministry of Labor.
