Fort Lauderdale Personal Injury Lawyer
As a skilled member of Kelley/Uustal, Attorney Todd McPharlin is committed to the representation of innocently injured victims. Todd began his professional career as an Assistant State Public Defender for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County, Florida. During his tenure there, he represented hundreds of clients and gained valuable courtroom and trial experience in the misdemeanor and felony divisions.
Today, he handles personal injury claims involving:
- Reckless drivers
- Automotive manufacturers
- Medical device manufacturers
- Pharmaceutical companies
- Tobacco companies
- Insurance companies
Additional areas of practice at Kelley/Uustal include negligent security, unsafe and dangerous workplaces, defective construction equipment, medical malpractice and insurance coverage disputes.
Millions of Dollars Recovered
As Attorney McPharlin once stated:
“Hard to believe but some corporations make choices on CONSUMER safety based on a mathematical formula. THAT’S WRONG and I want to change that math.”
Through hard work and dedication, Todd has been instrumental in obtaining numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. Among his various professional accomplishments, he represented a man and his family in a case involving racial profiling at a local business establishment. His client was awarded more than $2.5 million.
Todd also represented a father whose wife, while pregnant, was severely injured in a motor vehicle accident. The accident resulted in serious injuries to the father, as well as his child who suffered prenatal injuries. Significantly, the trial court agreed (and affirmed on appeal) that the physical injuries sustained by the child prior to his birth, as well as the child’s claim, qualified for loss of consortium because of the injuries sustained by the mother and were compensable claims under Florida Law. The family was awarded a verdict recovery equating to more than $6 million.
