53-year-old Michelle Holguin suffered the horrors of a hit-and-run accident on July 15. While riding her bicycle home from her job as a waitress, she was struck by a vehicle on Sunrise Boulevard. It is unclear what the driver, 21-year-old Adrian Perez, was doing at the time, but it is evident he was distracted while behind the wheel. This resulted in Perez striking our client and dragging her body for at least 100 yards, before he drove off–leaving her body in the middle of the road, horribly injured.
Our legal team at Kelley/Uustal is fighting for Michelle’s rights to compensation following this horrific accident, as she has just recently awoken from a medically-induced coma. Though she doesn’t remember any details of the collision, she is now suffering from various painful injuries, including a broken leg, a punctured lung, and much more. Her road to recovery will be a difficult one, and it is unlikely she will be able to work again.
